Audition venues have been confirmed for the fourth season of the hit summer series SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, which begins a new search for America’s Favorite Dancer Thursday, Jan. 17 in Dallas. This season producers expand the auditions from four cities to six – Dallas; Charleston, SC; Salt Lake City; Washington, D.C.; Los Angeles; and Milwaukee – in search of dancers who best represent the rhythm of the nation. The third season of the smash summer hit SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE came to a spectacular conclusion as Sabra Johnson was named the champion on the live two-hour season finale tonight on FOX. Johnson, 20, a Contemporary dancer from Roy, UT, received the most votes after last night’s final performance show and danced off with the cash prize of $250,000 and the title of America’s Favorite Dancer.

LAUREN GOTTLIEB AND PASHA KOVALEV ELIMINATED ON “SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE”

images1.jpgOn last night’s special results show, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE host Cat Deeley announced that Lauren Gottlieb and Pasha Kovalev were eliminated from the competition based on total votes received after the Top 6 dancers performed on Wednesday, Aug. 8. Gottlieb, 19, is a contemporary/jazz dancer from Scottsdale, AZ; and Kovalev, 27, is a Latin Ballroom dancer from Fort Lee, NJ.

SARA VON GILLERN AND DOMINIC SANDOVAL ARE ELIMINATED ON “SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE”

In addition, last night’s musical guest, OneRepublic, performed their hit song “Apologize.” With only two weeks remaining, the competition is heating up as the contestants vie for the title of “America’s Favorite Dancer” and the $250,000 cash prize.

JAIMIE GOODWIN AND KAMERON BINK ARE ELIMINATED ON “SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE”

jaimiesyt.JPGThe two girls who received the fewest votes after Wednesday’s performance show were Jaimie Goodwin and Lauren Gottlieb; the two guys with the fewest votes were Dominic Sandoval and Kameron Bink. After each of the four dancers performed a solo routine, it was revealed that Goodwin and Bink were eliminated from the competition based on total votes received, ending their quest to become America’s favorite dancer. Goodwin, 19, is a Contemporary dancer from Virginia Beach, VA; and Bink, 21, is a Contemporary/Hip-Hop dancer from Coral Springs, FL. Also last night, Mika performed “Love Today” from his latest CD, “Life in Cartoon Motion.”

Here they are, America, your top 10 dancers. You helped put them there & they’ll be heading out on a nationwide tour this fall. Tonight’s dancers are judged by Nigel, Mary, and contemporary dancer Mia Michaels. It’s out of their hands though and from here on out, America calls the shots. You no longer vote for couples, each dancer is judged individually.

After the firestorm over Jessi’s exit last week, the top 14 dance on along with judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, and guest judge Adam Shankman (director of “Hairspray” the movie). It’s also Nigel’s birthday today so happy birthday, Nigel! He was asked about Jessi’s exit and mentioned the petition, signed by over a thousand fans.
