Audition venues have been confirmed for the fourth season of the hit summer series SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, which begins a new search for America’s Favorite Dancer Thursday, Jan. 17 in Dallas. This season producers expand the auditions from four cities to six – Dallas; Charleston, SC; Salt Lake City; Washington, D.C.; Los Angeles; and Milwaukee – in search of dancers who best represent the rhythm of the nation. NEIL HASKELL, LACEY SCHWIMMER AND DANNY TIDWELL ELIMINATED AS AMERICA’S VOTE IS REVEALED ON THE SEASON FINALE OF “SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE”
The third season of the smash summer hit SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE came to a spectacular conclusion as Sabra Johnson was named the champion on the live two-hour season finale tonight on FOX. Johnson, 20, a Contemporary dancer from Roy, UT, received the most votes after last night’s final performance show and danced off with the cash prize of $250,000 and the title of America’s Favorite Dancer.

On last night’s special results show, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE host Cat Deeley announced that Lauren Gottlieb and Pasha Kovalev were eliminated from the competition based on total votes received after the Top 6 dancers performed on Wednesday, Aug. 8. Gottlieb, 19, is a contemporary/jazz dancer from Scottsdale, AZ; and Kovalev, 27, is a Latin Ballroom dancer from Fort Lee, NJ.

The summer hit SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE continued its powerhouse ways this week, with the Top 8 finalists each performing two couples routines on Wednesday and a solo dance last night. In addition, last night’s musical guest, OneRepublic, performed their hit song “Apologize.” With only two weeks remaining, the competition is heating up as the contestants vie for the title of “America’s Favorite Dancer” and the $250,000 cash prize.

The two girls who received the fewest votes after Wednesday’s performance show were Jaimie Goodwin and Lauren Gottlieb; the two guys with the fewest votes were Dominic Sandoval and Kameron Bink. After each of the four dancers performed a solo routine, it was revealed that Goodwin and Bink were eliminated from the competition based on total votes received, ending their quest to become America’s favorite dancer. Goodwin, 19, is a Contemporary dancer from Virginia Beach, VA; and Bink, 21, is a Contemporary/Hip-Hop dancer from Coral Springs, FL. Also last night, Mika performed “Love Today” from his latest CD, “Life in Cartoon Motion.”

On last night’s “So You Think You Can Dance”, America chose to eliminate contemporary dancers Jaimie Goodwin & Kameron Bink. Jaimie was no stranger to the bottom group, having landed there before but Kameron was a first-timers. Along with Lauren & Dominic, the bottom 4 danced solos but their fate had already been decided by America. Here they are, America, your top 10 dancers. You helped put them there & they’ll be heading out on a nationwide tour this fall. Tonight’s dancers are judged by Nigel, Mary, and contemporary dancer Mia Michaels. It’s out of their hands though and from here on out, America calls the shots. You no longer vote for couples, each dancer is judged individually.
The top 10 will now be voted for individually by America but will choose new partners each week to dance with. Here’s how it all went down:

This week may be the toughest one yet for the dancers on FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance”. The top 10 dancers make the national tour which means the two eliminated tomorrow night just missed it. Tonight’s top 12 will be judged by Nigel, Mary, and guest judge Wade Robson. Let’s see who does enough to make the tour.

The summer hit SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE sizzled this week, with performances by the Top 14 finalists on Wednesday and a musical performance last night by Hilary Duff. Noted choreographer/director Adam Shankman served as a guest judge on both shows and choreographed last night’s group routine featuring the song “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from “Hairspray.”

As the old saying goes: the show must go on! After the firestorm over Jessi’s exit last week, the top 14 dance on along with judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, and guest judge Adam Shankman (director of “Hairspray” the movie). It’s also Nigel’s birthday today so happy birthday, Nigel! He was asked about Jessi’s exit and mentioned the petition, signed by over a thousand fans. He dances around the issue, saying it wasn’t easy but someone had to go. And so, we dance on…
