Interview with Ali and Bette Sue from The Biggest Loser Couples

nup_111353_0040.jpg

Today we spoke with the Pink Team from NBC’s The Biggest Loser Couples. After speaking with Ali and Bette Sue I was surprised to find out they both live minutes away from our Arizona office and while Bette Sue was away filming a good friend of mine picked up several of her salon clients, what a small world. Ali and Bette Sue chatted with us about why they went on The Biggest Loser, how they were blind sided by the other teams throwing the weigh-ins, and their thoughts on Paul and Jackie.

Q. Mark RealityWanted.com: Hey guys, thanks you for joining us today, I am a huge fan of the show and so bummed you two were eliminated. Whose idea was it to try out for the show in the first place, were you guy’s fans of past seasons?

A. Ali, The Biggest Loser Couples: A couple of seasons ago I watched the finale and said wow this show really changes peoples lives. I told myself I wanted to try out so I downloaded the application, looked at it, and never filled it out assuming thousands apply and how I would get picked. Then one day my mom called and said she noticed an ad on local TV about an open casting call for The Biggest Loser.

Interview With Neil and Amanda From The Biggest Loser Couples

img_2738r.jpg

Neil and Amanda were the third couple to be eliminated from The Biggest Loser Couples.  Neill works as a web developer for an advertising firm in Oklahoma City and Amanda is now an art teacher at the Oklahoma City Art Museum.

Q. Carrie, RealityWanted.com: Neil, how accurately do you feel you were portrayed on the show?

A. Neil, Biggest Loser Couples: I do feel I was portrayed accurately but I think they showed more of the negatives than the positives. Since I left the show I am a totally different person. I am no longer the Neil everyone watched on TV.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: What did you change about yourself?

A. Neil, Biggest Loser Couples: I dealt with several emotional issues I had been dealing with for years. When I got home I did some soul searching, Amanda and her family also helped me change my can’t do attitude to a can do attitude.

Tomorrow Night On The Biggest Loser Couples - Challenges Cause Rift Between Players

The remaining eight teams compete in a game of “elimination” where the last team standing wins immunity so they can’t be sent home this week. While the challenge causes rifts in the house as the players become more competitive, the trainers are determined to work the teams harder and post more impressive numbers on the scale at this week’s weigh-in. Then an elimination round follows, and another team is sent packing. Alison Sweeney is the host, and Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels also star.

0000045229_20071227102806.jpg

Yesterday Carrie and I had the chance to sit down and chat with Curtis and Mallory from this season Biggest loser Couples. Curtis and Mallory talked about what lead up to their weight gain, their experience on the show, and provided some tips dieting and exercise.

Q. Carrie, RealityWanted.com: How did you both find yourself on The Biggest Loser? Was it because you were you fans of the show and decided you wanted to give it a shot?

A. Curtis, Biggest Loser Couples: I have always been a fan of the show and after I watched season 3 I started to find out how to apply.

Q. Mark, Realitywanted.com: Was this a single or joint decision to apply.

A. Mallory, Biggest Loser Couples: It was a single decision not a joint decision. I watched The Biggest Loser and really enjoyed it. Curtis came in one day and told me he was headed down to the audition to apply. When Curtis puts his mind to something I know he will accomplish it. Low and behold they were casting couples so it was a perfect fit, I had just planned to workout at home while he was away.

Biggest Loser 4 - FINALE, “Twins Take It All!”

A quarter of a million dollars for Bill, $100-thousand for Jim. The Long Island Germanakos brothers worked together at home to lose the largest percentage snagging The Biggest Loser title out of the four BLACK finalists and out of all the sent home contestants, respectively. Bill weighed in the first day at 334 pounds. He’s lost 164 pounds to date, weighing in tonight at 170. Jim, only five pounds heavier from 361 to 175, losing an incredible 186 pounds.

Suffice to say, everyone looked fantastic. I think the biggest shocker, to me, was Julie. She looked phenomenal. Hollie had always been beautiful, but rocked the stage tonight. On that subject, Black Team Trainer Jillian Michaels deserves MAD props! This woman not only had the final four contestants from her team, but the Black team members sent home had the highest percentage of weight loss out of everyone else. Well, except for Blue Team Member Kae, who is simply a machine!

I’m going to let the numbers speak for themselves. These numbers are incredible ya’ll. If this isn’t motivation to just DO IT and lose weight, I don’t know what is:

Amber: 295 to 211 - Lost 84 pounds!

Leslye: 255 to 200 - Lost 55 pounds!

Jerry: 297 to 187 - Lost 110 pounds!

Patty: 280 to 216 - Lost 64 pounds!

Phil: 403 to 258 - Lost 145 pounds!

Jez: 345 to 195 - Lost 150 pounds!

David: 268 to 228 - Lost 140 pounds!

Ryan: 374 to 241 - Lost 133 pounds!

Amy: 297 to 171 - Lost 126 pounds!

Kae: 225 to 128 - Lost 97 pounds!

Bryan: 346 to 224 - Lost 122 pounds!

Nicole: 279 to 174 - Lost 105 pounds!

Neil: 421 to 210 - Lost 211 pounds! ( 1.40% away from being Biggest Loser Contestant sent home!)

Isabeau: 289 to 185 - Lost 113 pounds!

Hollie: 255 to 150 - Loset 105 pounds!

Julie: 334 to 170 - Lost 164 pounds!

Congratulations to everyone! You’re an inspiration to your friends, your families and America! Starting January 1st, couples compete for The Biggest Loser title and the show is teasing a Million Pound Challenge. Till then!

Biggest Loser - Episode #12 “No More Nicole - Now Only Five”

images.jpg

One more week, one more player eliminated and The Biggest Loser Season 4 will have its FINAL four. This week, contestants knew every pound would count. Blue Team Neil barely escaped being in the bottom two last week with just a one pound difference on the scale between Bryan and him. Bryan got sent packing, taking the Red Team’s chances of being in the finale, or the rest of the game for that matter, with him. Red Team Trainer Kim Lyons walked into B’s room expecting it to be empty. Instead of Bryan, a large TV greeted her with a tearful message from the last hope she had to keep herself on the BL Campus.

Biggest Loser 4 - Episode #11 - “Bye, Bye ‘B’ - R.I.P. Red”

images.jpg

So the Red Team is out of the competition. The first time in Biggest Loser history all shirt colors aren’t represented in the finale. Of course, this is the first year a third team has been added, so that doesn’t really make for a startling surprise. One pound was all it took to push the last of the crimson contestants below the yellow line at weigh-in this week. That would be Bryan! Read more…
