Big Brother 8 has come to a close and CBS is already taking applications for season 9. Last week I got the chance to attend the live Big Brother 8 finale, head into the backyard and interview the cast. Below is my chat with the Big Brother 8 winner Dick Donato. There is also a video clip below of Dick talking to Real Networks I shot with my digital cam while waiting for the interview.
Q. Mark RealityWanted.com – Great to finally meet you, and congratulations on winning Big Brother 8. I have been talking with Nick, Kail and Carol over the past few weeks. Are you ready to head out of here?
A. Dick Donato Big Brother 8– Yeah, I think were all ready to walk out that back door.

In what was quite possibly the most uneventful BB finale ever, Dick Danato was crowned the winner of Big brother 8 last night by a vote of 5-2. Like most BB fans, I didn’t want either Danato to win the prize, but still, the jury of 7 had to crown one the ultimate player. But come on!!! Dick??? Ugh- even though I am not a Dani fan at all, she did tie BB all star Janelle for the most veto wins. What did “evil” do this season?? Besides berate the other HG’s (anyone say Jen??). I did believe what Jameka had to say about Dani- that “Dani was the pimp and Dick was her ho!”-

After talking with Kail and Nick last Sunday I am almost done making the rounds with all the non sequestered Big Brother cast before next weeks finale. Yesterday I had the chance to talk with Carol. We talked about her feelings towards Jessica, If she would do the show again and how life has been since she left the Big Brother house. I will have follow up interviews with the entire cast after I return from the Big Brother finale next week. I would like to thank Carol for taking the time out of her evening last night to discuss the show.
Q. Mark RealityWanted.com: Thanks for taking the time to talk with us today. I lost track of the date, how long have you been home since you left the Big Brother house?
A. Carol Big Brother 8: I have been home about two months now; I was in the Big Brother house for about two weeks.

I got the chance to catch up with Kail Harbick yesterday from Big Brother 8. Kail and I talked about what it is like to return to a “normal” life, her opinion of Eric and who she is hoping will win this season Big Brother. I want to thank Kail for taking the time out of her Sunday to chat with me.
Q. Mark Realitywanted.com: So you have been back home now for a couple of weeks and I am sure everyday is exciting and different for you. Talk to me about what it was like when you got home from the show; did it take a few days to get back to your “normal” life?
A. Kail Harbick Big Brother 8: I was fortunate to have a great support system ready when I got home. They helped me get back into the normal life but my sleep habits are still off. After you take 41 days off work it takes a bit to get back into the swing of things.

Julie Chen Announces that the Next Eviction Will Take Place on Tuesday, Sept. 11 on the CBS Television Network
BIG BROTHER 8 is down to the final four players as two Houseguests fell victim to last night’s first live double eviction of the season during an evening full of surprises. Jessica Hughbanks, by a vote of 2-1, and “America’s Player” Eric Stein, by a vote of 2-0, were evicted from the BIG BROTHER 8 house.

It’s Thursday night in the BB house and that means that one of the two noms, Amber or Jen will be walking out the front door tonight.
In the DR Dani states her reason for wanting Jen out is “She isn’t in it for the money” and that “Jen wants dick out of the house”
Later we see Jen packing her bags and the cooking a turkey burger (she is on slop and not allowed to eat remember). She then goes and finds Dick’s cigarette, takes them into the storage room, and pours bleach on them and smashes them up. Meanwhile Dick goes looking for his cigs, finds out what Jen did, finds Jen’s clothes, and takes them to hide in the HOH room. During all of this, Jen is on what I can only describe as an ‘eating binge’ in front of all the other HG’s. She then said if BB was not going to follow the rules she was not either (this did not air on the CBS show but I saw it on the live feeds. Jen says that the BB producers told her she could destroy dicks cigs and that they would make Dick give her clothes back, but the DR told Dick that it was ok to hide things, but not ok to destroy things, so Jen was angry that BB is not making Dick give her clothes back) Jen then gets into it with dick again when he blows smoke from a cig into her face, she tries to take it out of Dicks hand and Dick burns her with it. Now Jen is called to the DR, where after we learn that because she broke the rules and ate while on slop, she will get the first penalty vote in US BB history and that she will already have one vote to evict her.

During next week’s episode of POWER OF 10, current BIG BROTHER 8 Houseguests Daniele Donato and Amber Siyavus will compete against each other in the two-person game, allowing the winner to move on for a chance to play for $10 million, Tuesday, Aug. 28 (8:00 9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

As the houseguests react to the nominations of Amber and Jameka for eviction, Amber says in DR that “I feel like God did this for a reason, to make us stronger: and “Last week I saw a vision that I won the POV, if my vision was right, we are both going to be here next week, if everything pans out, I will win POV and Jameka and I will be in the final two”

As the houseguests react to Dustin’s departure from the BB house, Amber goes in DR and cries (shocker) “I can’t believe I was played, I have not played anyone, or lied to anyone in this game, I just don’t know what to do. I’m so confused” Jameka then states “that the game has shifted, and nothing makes sense. People I thought I could trust I can’t”.

Today I had the opportunity to talk with Dustin, the 22 year old shoe salesman and former boyfriend of fellow houseguests Joe from Chicago IL. It looks like another pawn ended up being sent packing. Dustin will be the first member of the Big Brother 8 jury and now being sequestered until the end of the show.
Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com): What did it feel like once you knew you were going to be part of the cast?
A. Dustin: I had mixed feelings once I was kidnapped for the show, but excitement; absolutely.
